Ranger is not tested in a Citrix Thin Client; Ranger is tested on full operating system installs.
Below are some points that would need to be addressed. This is not intended to be a complete list but a starting point:
- Ranger has to be installed on the computer that will be connected to the scanner.
- This install has to be persistent.
- Ranger relies on the manufacturer-supplied scanner drivers to
communicate with the scanner. Because of this, Ranger will inherit any
scanner driver limitations.
- The Ranger installer requires Administrator permissions when unlocking.
- Thin client operating systems may be lacking in how they communicate to
the ports (ie :USB) that would cause problems with the drivers. More

The general answer to this question is that Ranger only supports systems where there is a full operating system install.
