There are two ways to verify what Ranger version you are using:
A. Using Window's Add or Remove Programs System Settings:
On
Windows, Ranger and Plug-in version information can also be obtained by
navigating to Add or Remove Programs. For help on how to get to this
screen in supported Windows Versions, please follow the instructions for
your Windows Version:
Windows 7:
1. On the Windows desktop screen, click the Start button.
2. Click Control Panel on the right-hand side of the Start Menu.
3. There should be a "Programs" section, click the "Uninstall a program" link.
4. A list of all programs installed will be displayed: Navigate down to "Ranger" and "Ranger plug-in: [Scanner Make]"
Windows 8 and 8.1:
1. Move the mouse to the bottom left corner of the screen and right-click.
2. In the Power User Menu, select Control Panel.

next to the Start Menu button. Click the search bar to place your
cursor in this box.
2. Begin typing "Add or Remove Programs" until an option under "Best Match" appears with the same name.
3. A list of all programs installed will be displayed: Navigate down to "Ranger" and "Ranger plug-in: [Scanner Make]"
Note:
The Ranger Version consists of a Ranger Core version and a Ranger
plug-in version. The plug-in is specific to whichever scanner make/model
is being used for check processing.
B. Read it from the log:
1. Start up the SBT Log Viewer (Ranger Version 4.5+), a.k.a., Bloodhound
2. Click the "Clear" button
3. Start a Ranger-based application (like RangerFlex)
4. Click the "Refresh" button on the log viewer
5. Read the Ranger Core version from the log header
Example of a log header with Ranger Core version 1.2.3.4.
6. For the plug-in version, use the SBT Log Viewer's search functionality and search for "<Version>"
7. On the line highlighted, between <Version> and </Version> is the plug-in version.
Example of a log segment with Ranger plug-in version 1.0.0.0.
Note:
If you have multiple plug-ins installed, the <Version> text will
appear an equal number of times compared to the number of plug-ins
installed
