Ranger for Epson always reports transport is dead

This is usually caused by an error in communication with the machine.
  1. Ensure that the machine is turned on and plugged into a USB2 port.
  2. Ensure that the proper drivers are installed on the machine.
Ranger will not work with the old APD drivers, you must have the latest Epson drivers and firmware installed on your machine.
