What are the Ranger licensing/unlocking models?
We have two Ranger licensing/unlocking models.
- When Ranger ships with the scanner (as with Canon), the Ranger license
does not need to be unlocked. A Ranger license was purchased for each
scanner that shipped from the factory.
- When Ranger does not ship with the scanner, software vendors unlock their Ranger licenses remotely by following the directions in this post: How do I unlock my Ranger software?
Ranger is installed by
the check scanning application's installation script in all cases.
